Persecuted People

I Peter 4

~ John 15:20                Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

~ Acts 14:22                strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying, “Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.”

~ II Timothy 3:12        Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

Glorify God with Focus!

Be like Christ!

~ I Peter 2:24               and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.

~ Isaiah 53:5               But He was pierced through for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,
And by His scourging we are healed.

Stop Sinning.

~ I Peter 3:21              Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

~ Acts 2:38                  Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Pray for One Another!

~ The Voice of the Martyr ~ www.persecution.org

~ James 5:16                           Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

Love One Another Earnestly!

~ I Corinthians 13:5    does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,

Serve One Another!

~ James 1:12               Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

Glorify God with Joy!

Joy seems like an unusual response to Persecution!

~ Philippians 4:4         Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!

Rejoice in Persecution!

~ Romans 8:18            For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
