Be Intentional.

Be Intentional with Release!

~ I Peter 2:24               and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.

Be Intentional with Initiative!

~ Ephesians 4:32         Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

~ I Corinthians 13:5    does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,

~ Matthew 5:7             Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

Be Gracious!

Extend Grace!

~ Ephesians 4:32         Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

~ Ephesians 2:8           For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

~ Matthew 6:14-15     For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.

Extend Sincere Grace!

~ Matthew 5:7            Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

~ Luke 6:37                Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned.

Be Determined!

Refuse to Think about the Offense!

~ Isaiah 43:25             I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins.

Refuse to Talk about the Offense!

~ Revelation 12:10      Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying,

“Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night.

~ Psalm 103:12           As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

~ I John 1:9     If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Refuse to Use the Offense against the Other Person!

~ Romans 12:17-21     Never pay back evil for evil to anyone.  Respect what is right in the sight of all men. 18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. 19 Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 “But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
