Unselfish Workers

Nehemiah 3

 

Selfless Workers serve from the Heart.

Selfless Workers serve Freely.

~ Matthew 10:8           Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

~ Colossians 3:23        Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men,

 

 

Selfless Workers serve Enthusiastically.

~ Titus 2:14      who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.

 

 

Selfless Workers seek to be Team Players.

Team Players set the Example of Working.

~ Ephesians 2:10          For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

 

Team Players give the Glory to God.

~ I Corinthians 10:31  Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

~ Matthew 5:16           Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

 

 

Selfless Workers seek for the Good of the Whole.

Work for a cause that is Greater than self.

~ Luke 19:10   For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.

~ Luke 9:24      For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it.

 

Work for a cause that is Beyond Self.

~ Luke 10:2                 And He was saying to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.

~ I Corinthians 15:58  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.
