Sermon Outline, March 26, 2017, “The Kingdom of Grace”
The Kingdom of Grace
Understand God’s Grace.
To understand God’s grace, we must first understand justice.
~ Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are Mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine. The soul who sins will die.
~ Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Grace is where God gives us what we need, not what we deserve.
~ II Corinthians 5:21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
~ Isaiah 53:4-6 Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. 6 All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him.
Honor God’s Grace.
Honor God’s Call of Grace.
~ Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
Honor God’s Gift of Grace.
~ Romans 12:6 Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith;
~ I Peter 4:10 As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
Share God’s Grace.
Share God’s grace in the Good times.
~ Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
~ I Corinthians 1:23 but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness,
~ I Corinthians 9:16 For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for I am under compulsion; for woe is me if I do not preach the gospel.
Share God’s grace in the Difficult times.
~ Ephesians 4:32 Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
