                                                             The Power of Grace

Ephesians 2:1-10

God’s Grace Saves!

God’s grace saves from Sin.

~ Romans 5:20            The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more . . .

 

God’s grace saves through Faith.

~ Romans 3:20            because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.

~ Romans 3:28            For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.

 

 

God’s Grace Creates!

God’s grace creates New Life in Baptism.

~ Romans 6:3-5           Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection . . .

~ Colossians 2:12-13    having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13 When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions . . .

~ Titus 3:5                    He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,

God’s grace creates New Life in Jesus Christ.

~ II Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

 

 

God’s Grace Provides!

God’s grace provides Eternal Life.

~ Psalm 23:6               Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

 

God’s grace provides Purpose.

~ Matthew 5:16          Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
