Steadfast

Revelation 3:7-13

 

Hold on to Opportunity.

Hardship provides Opportunities.

~ Philippians 4:13       I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

~ Matthew 19:26         And looking at them Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

 

Seize the Opportunities.

~ I Peter 3:15  but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;

 

 

Hold on to Protection.

Jesus protects us from our Enemies.

~ Psalm 121:7             The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul.

~ Psalm 23:5   You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows.

 

Jesus protects us from Judgment.

~ Romans 5:9   Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.

 

 

Hold on to the Word of God.

The Word of God provides Truth.

~ John 17:17   Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.

 

The Word of God provides Faith.

~ Romans 10:17           So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

 

The Word of God provides Strength.

~ Psalm 46:1               God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

~ Psalm 55:22             Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.

 

 

Hold on to Anticipation.

Anticipate Eternal Life.

~ James 1:12               Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

~ Revelation 2:10         Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

 

Anticipate God’s Presence

~ Revelation 21:3        And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them,
