                                                     Strong Leadership

Revelation 2:12-17

A strong leader demonstrates Commitment.

~ A strong commitment to the Person of Jesus Christ.

~ Philippians 1:21       For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

~ Philippians 3:7          But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ.

 

~ A strong commitment to the Word of Jesus Christ.

~ I Peter 3:21                          Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

~ I Corinthians 6:9-10             Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

~ John 10:30                            I and the Father are one.

~ II Timothy 3:16                   All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;

~ II Peter 1:20-21                    But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

~ I Timothy 2:12                      But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet.

 

 

A Strong Leader demonstrates Competence.

A competent leader demonstrates Character.

~ I Timothy 3:2           An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,

 

A competent leader fulfills Responsibility.

~ I Timothy 3:1           It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do.

~ Mark 10:45               For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.

 

A competent leader confronts Problems.

 

 

A Strong Leader demonstrates Conviction.

Conviction reveals Confidence.

~ Romans 5:8               But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

~ Jeremiah 29:11          For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.

 

Conviction reveals Courage.

~ Matthew 10:32-33    “Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.
