                                                     Simmered with Patience

I Thessalonians 5:14

Be Tolerant.

Be tolerant of Sinners.

~ Luke 15:2                 Both the Pharisees and the scribes began to grumble, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.”

~ Romans 6:1-2           What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?

Be confident in God’s power to change sinners.

~ Ephesians 3:20         Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,

~ Philippians 4:13       I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

Be Invested.

Invest in Relationships.

~ Ecclesiastes 11:1      Cast your bread on the surface of the waters, for you will find it after many days.

Investing in relationships involves Risk.

~ II Corinthians 9:6    Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

Be Resolved.

Resolve to have a Clear Goal.

~ Luke 19:10   For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that                   which was lost.”

~ Luke 9:51     When the days were approaching for His ascension, He was determined to go to Jerusalem;

~ Acts 1:8       but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.

Resolve to Go Forward.

~ Philippians 3:12, 14             Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.

14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

~ I Corinthians 15:58              Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.
