Jesus expects Complete Obedience.
~ Luke 6:46 Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?
~ Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
Love The Lord’s Church with Giving.
~ Philippians 2:8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
~ Hebrews 12:2 . . . fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
~ Matthew 10:8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.
~ Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.
Give with Excellence.
~ Colossians 3:23-24 Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.
~ Ephesians 4:32 Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
Love The Lord’s Church with Commitment.
Commit to the Priority of the Lord’s Church.
~ Matthew 6:33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
~ Hebrews 10:25 . . . not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
Commit to the Promise of the Lord’s Church.
~ I Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.
