Jesus Changes Your Mind

Romans 12:2

Jesus changes your mind with the Right Content.

The right content produces the Right Character.

~ Proverbs 23:7           “For as he thinks within himself, so he is. He says to you, ‘Eat and drink!’ But his heart is not with you.”

~ Proverbs 4:23           “Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.”

The right content consists of the Word of God.

~ Colossians 3:16        “ Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”

~ Psalm 1:1-2              “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.”

Jesus changes your mind with Study.

Desire to Learn!

~ I Peter 2:2    “. . . like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation . . .”

Desire to Study.

~ II Timothy 2:15       “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.”

~ James 1:22               “But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.”

~ James 1:21               “Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls.”

Jesus changes your mind with Continuous Study.

Continuous study brings continuous Growth.

Builds a Strong Faith

~ Romans 10:17          “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.”

Protects from False Teaching

~ Ephesians 4:14         “As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming . . .”

Provides Direction

~ Psalm 119:105         “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
