Pray on ALL Occasions!

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests…” Ephesians 6:18

During a spring break trip in 2008, we experienced the need for special prayer, and we experienced a Mighty God at work because of prayer. Our son, Chase, experienced a complete break of both the tibia and fibula of his right leg while playing in a baseball tournament in Destin, Florida. We were far from home, knowing only our “team family”. We had no knowledge of area doctors or hospitals. Our son was badly injured and we needed help. Once we learned of the severity of his break, we began to pray. As parents, we pray for our children on ALL occasions. As we prayed, so were many others who were at the ball field that afternoon. As we stood on the sidelines of the field, we saw all the players kneeling in centerfield, lifting up prayers on behalf of our son. This was a public school from Barren County, Kentucky praying along side our school, Lexington Christian Academy. There are no words! Immediately, we began to see prayers being answered and our God at work. There was an orthopedic surgeon at the game who knew what to do for Chase right there in that critical moment. The number one surgeon, who was highly recommended to perform Chase’s surgery, was the doctor on call for the very hospital they were sending us to. Chase was taken to surgery where a titanium rod and screws were inserted into his right leg. Due to the severity of his injury, we were told Chase might never play ball again. Once again we saw prayers answered, after months of physical therapy and healing, Chase was conditioning with his team in October. Yes, pray in the Spirit on ALL occasions! He is faithful to His Word, He hears our prayers (Psalm 65:2) and He loves it when we call out His name for ALL the occasions we experience in this journey of life.
Pray on ALL occasions,

Danny and Anne Branham
