Family Life Verse
Recently, my family and I enjoyed a great week away in Panama City, but prior to our trip we were a little stressed. We had to make sure things were ready for Sunday here at church, communicate to teachers and prepare for extra homework, finalize volunteer schedules, pack our bags, plan for the care of our dogs, get our needed money ready that we had set aside, and so on. The week before we left though, it seemed like we were going to run out of money in our account. It was crazy how many things were adding up, but then it happened. Together, Terah and I remembered that we had a life verse. When we were reminded of our life verse and took our life verse to God in prayer, everything changed and our trip was nothing short of perfect! Thank you for the time away!!
A life verse is the verse your family holds on to when the waves of life start knocking your boat around. A life verse can be used in good times and bad times. When tragedy strikes or a miracle happens you are immediately reminded of your life verse. A life verse reminds you that someone is watching over you and that everything is going to be alright. Your life verse is what you want your children to remember and you build your foundation around in your home. Our life verse has anchored us more times than we can count. If you don’t have a life verse for your family, you should ask God to give you one. I guess we can even let you borrow ours until you have one of your own. Here it is… Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight.”
